Some version of Guilty Gear XX. I love that game but no arcades in the area have it. It's one of the most solid fighters ever created.

This is a message concerning the reason why I "rarely" (Although my ass is getting to fat so I might go for ddr/itg again.) go to BZN

anymore (side note- have not gone there consistently for at least a 3 to 4 years. hell I even took some fighting game friends from out of

town over their about a week ago to show them what the place used to be like and how awesome it was back in the day and I'm not talking

about just a few years ago either.). So with out further adieu, The main reason I do not go is lack of good fighting games at BZN.

If you did not know, fighting games used to be the biggest thing back in the day i'm talking 1992-2001

before consoles took out the arcade. Back in the early days, "BZN" used to be a fighting game hot spot and I enjoyed every minute of it

because I was just a kid back then. I remember when there was always at least four or five machinces of the same game and people

would be lined up packed ready to take each other down for a game. These were the glory days of BZN as well as fighting games but now

they are gone and arcades all over the place are going down as well: like Dennis's place, HIP, hell even your only fighting game

competition in the Illinois region "nickel city" is going to complete shit. So when street fighter 3 third strike and marvel vs capcom 2 were

taken away from their big screens (street fighter 3 being completely taken away btw) and replaced by generic light gun shooter #56 72 & 3

I found my self going their less and less because as I talked to employees I knew that the games were not coming back (although Marvel

is there now it found its self on a small cabinet which is not cool at all.).

So now comes the time to help you find the solution so you can have a fighting game scene there at BZN. First off for the games that are

their they need some "Maintenance", because fighting game players do not like to play on broken equipment (just as ddr, itg, & pump

players don't like to play on a broken machine as well). here are some examples:

The games have messed up screens that have scan lines (x-men vs street fighter, and Ultimate

Mortal Kombat 3). The games have Messed up joysticks or buttons that don't get repaired at all/ Here is all the machines with messed up

buttons and joysticks: street fighter alpha 3 has both messed up buttons and sticks on both sides p1 side has a messed up stick because of

the dead zone on the stick is to loose/ p2 side has messed up buttons in general, Marvel vs Capcom 2 has messed up buttons on p2 side,

X-men vs Street Fighter has messed up buttons on both sides, Tekken 4 is just messed up in general. This is one of the main keys to

keeping your player base is showing that you care for the wellbeing of your equipment. Next up is game selection- Let me tell you an

interesting fact, just as not all fps's are born the same neither are fighting games. (some games are ,2d some are 3d, some are easy to

learn, some are hard to learn, some of the games are going strong in the community, the others have not survived the test of time, some

of the games are good, but a lot of them are bad. The games that are their now are either outdated, are to hard to play at remotely even a

high level without dedication, to shitty to even bother with or have lasted their stay in the community and will take work to revive. here is

the list of games currently at BZN and how they are related to most peoples opinions in the Fighting game community.

-Games that are good at your arcade that are already there:
-Marvel vs Capcom 2 - needs a bigger cabinet!
- X-men vs Street Fighter- this game is still played competitively but you need a scene to promote it.
- Street Fighter Alpha 3- this game is also played but is the hardest incarnation of street fighter to get good at so you will see people hardly play it.
-Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3- this is the best mortal kombat game and is the most tourney worthy game in the series and is very fun at high levels.

-Games that are outdated:
- X-men: Children of the Atom- This game although good is too old and their are much better games out their,
-Tekken 4- This version of the tekken series has been dead for years and is braindead easy to learn competitively you just pick jin thats it
no other character can beat him.
-Samurai Showdown 2- this game is good but its overrated in the snk community and there are much better games but it is still a good game.
-King of Fighters 94- look at the year and this game is crap too. there are better versions of the king of fighters series out there

-Games that are to shitty to bother with- -
King of fighters 94- not only is this game out of date the controls are stiff as hell and the game just is complete ass compared to the other
king of fighters games.
-Tekken 4- this game is also outdated and like i said its braindead easy to play (I like tekken but this game has got to go) also tekken 6 is going to be the best in the series next to tekken tag and tekken 5 dark resurrection anyway.

-Games that are good but will be hard to revive-
Street Fighter Alpha 3- This is a good game but it requires a very technical touch to be good at this game so it will be hard to revive this game.
X-men vs Street Fighter- It is pretty old making it hard to play this game when Marvel vs Capcom is next to it

Guaranteed playtime- Marvel vs Capcom 2- this game attracts people like flys to a bug zapper it is hard to learn the game but is so flashy
that people will flock to it anyway.

Alright so you have one guaranteed game that gets playtime the rest of your games their require an acquired taste to play this is why need

more fighting games to attract many players.

Here are good games that have potential in the fighting game community right now-

street fighter series- Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Street Fighter 2 Hyper Fighting, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Street Fighter Alpha 3 (you already have it), Street Fighter 3 Third Strike, Street Fighter EX 2, Street Fighter 3 Second Impact, Street Fighter 4 (Yes its coming out this year), Hyper Street Fighter 2

Other Capcom Fighting Games- Vampire Savior, Marvel vs Capcom2 (Already Have it), Marvel vs Capcom, Vampire Hunter, Project Justice, Jojo's Bizzarre adventure, Capcom VS SNK 1&2, Sengoku Basara X (this game is like guilty gear and is not out yet look into it), Super Gem Fighters Mini Mix, Power Stone 1&2

Guilty Gear Series- Always go with the latest one because its the same game with just that they rebalanced the games issues with characters- the latest version is Guilty Gear Accent Core.

SNK Games that are good- King of Fighters- 98, 2000, 2002, Neowave, 11 or kof XI, and 12 of Kof XII (not out yet), and king of fighter maximum impact regulation A you should think about getting this because although this maybe a stab at my race they Mexicans sure do love king of fighters lol. Samurai Showdown - 2,4,5 special, and tenkaichi are the good samurai showdowns. Last blade 2 is a good game, Breakers Revenge is also good, Neo Geo Battle Colosseum is too good, world heros perfect is pretty good too, Fatal Fury special, Fatal fury Real bout and Garou Mark of the wolves are legendary games as well,

Namco games- Tekken- tekken tag- tekken 5 dark resurection, tekken 6 are good, soul calibur 2 and 3 arcade edition are good as well

Sega games- Virtua fighter 4 final tuned and Virtua Fighter 5 ver. d

Other doujin style fighter games- Akatsuki Blitzkampf, Melty Blood Act cadenza latest version- Arcana hearts 1 and 2 (2 is not out yet), Big
Bang Beat, and Hokuto No ken

Last Issue is were your games are located at. right now they are in the corner were their is very little room and makes people look

outsiders in the arcade. I think it should be moved to where the racing games are because most of those games are not that as good as

Intial D anyways and the basketball game needs to be moved as well because fighting games players come in big packs if I can get a

scene going. I can also discuss things such as organizing tournaments if things start to happen their and I can help people with getting

better at the games.

This is mine and many peoples wishes for a better arcade I hope that you can understand that we are arcade goers too and would like too

come to a better arcade. Heres hoping for the best of BZN
